With a focus on manufacturing, UQM has brought together a production team with over 140 years of combined experience in medium to high volume motor manufacturing.  The Power Products business unit consists of our Senior VP of Operations, Manufacturing Manager, Materials Manager, Quality Engineer, Design Engineer and National Sales Manager.

The goal of the team has been to identify and win key production opportunities in emerging and existing vehicle markets.  Utilizing the automotive APQP standard for DV and PPAP processes, the Power Products group has successfully created high-volume assembly systems in our Frederick, CO facility.  These systems are computer controlled and monitored for quality assurance and consistent performance under the ISO9001:2000 regulations.

With our high-volume assembly systems in place and established relationships with high-quality offshore suppliers, the UQM Power Products group has been successfully winning production contracts for vehicle component applications in actuators and power electronics.
